Members Only News
ACFN is gathering information from members who may have been eligible for income tax-free status had historic reserve lands been provided in Fort Chipewyan.
We are working with Canada to address long-standing inequalities and negotiate relief from income tax arrears for affected members. If you or someone you know has previous or outstanding personal income taxation that could have been avoided, we want to hear from you.
Why is this important?
ACFN is negotiating with Canada for fair treatment regarding taxation, as many members may have been unfairly taxed due to the lack of reserve lands in Fort Chip.
